
Jonathan is a highly professional and dedicated school improvement consultant who has played an influential role within Warwickshire schools and neighbouring local education authorities; empowering leadership teams, individual subject leaders and class teachers to raise pupils’ attainment and progress.
Jonathan’s leadership style and personal skills enable him to work with colleagues across the school, with the ultimate goal of developing and enhancing the school’s internal capacity and sustainability; in particular, ensuring Leadership Teams have effective and robust action planning and monitoring systems, to ensure all teachers are accountable for pupils’ progress and attainment.
His particular subject specialism is mathematics; he was awarded the status of ‘Professional Development Accredited Lead’ by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM). Following his teaching, deputy headship and Local Authority school improvement experience, Jonathan also worked for several years in a consultancy (maths) capacity at the University of Northampton, within the Faculty of Education & Humanities and over recent years; supporting groups of colleagues engage a two-year, Masters Level, Mathematics Specialist Teacher Programme (MaST), a programme that has significantly enhanced the learning outcomes of pupils.
This academic year, Jonathan has embarked upon a school governor role in a South Warwickshire village school; an exciting addition, alongside his professional life. Working alongside the school community to enhance the learning opportunities for all pupils; this promises to be is an exciting new venture ahead.
